Book a Visit →Why families choose a small home
Six seniors. One kitchen. Caregivers who know how each person takes their coffee.
Most senior living is sold by the square foot and staffed by the census. This is the other option: a residential care home licensed by the State of California for six people, in a ten-thousand-square-foot house built by Professor Howarth Drake. No call-light queues. No shift-change strangers. Care given by people who see the same six faces every day.

The Home
Residents bring their own furniture, quilts, photographs and chairs. Every bedroom has a private bathroom and a television, and an elevator reaches every floor — so a walker, a wheelchair, or a slow morning is never a problem.

Bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, medication assistance, incontinence support, meals adapted for diabetes or swallowing, laundry, housekeeping, and rides to the doctor. It begins with a written assessment of what your parent actually needs — not a package tier.

Daily Life
A sunlit morning room for coffee. A library for the afternoon. A games room with a pool table and arcade so the grandchildren beg to come along. A piano in the parlor, a hot tub under the pines, and porches on every side of the house.

Where coffee happens. Glass on three sides, warm by nine in the morning.

One table, six chairs, three meals a day served hot and eaten together.

Professional ranges — meals cooked here, adapted for diabetic, low-salt, and soft diets.
The Setting
Wrightwood is a mountain village of about four thousand people, an hour from the Inland Empire and forty minutes above the High Desert. Summers stay in the seventies while Victorville and Palmdale bake. For a senior who has spent forty years in desert heat, that alone changes the day.

Where our families come from
Families place a parent with us from across the High Desert, the Antelope Valley, the mountain communities, and the Inland Empire foothills — Phelan, Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, Crestline, Big Bear and more. Pick your town for drive times, nearby hospitals, and how care works here.
Openings
Not a staged Saturday tour — an ordinary weekday, with lunch cooking and the residents doing what they do. Call (909) 949-9700 and we will tell you plainly whether this house is right for your parent, and what it costs.
